We collect information only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve ViewClue and its AI-powered video analysis features.
When you create an account, contact us, or request support, we may collect information such as your name, email address, account identifier, and the content of your support messages.
ViewClue is designed to analyze creator content. When you choose to upload or submit content for analysis, we may collect the videos, images, audio, captions, transcripts, text prompts, descriptions, thumbnails, and related files you provide.
This content may include personal data if you include people, voices, usernames, locations, or other identifying information in the content you upload. Please only upload content that you have the right and permission to use.
When you use ViewClue's AI features, we may process your uploaded content, prompts, captions, transcripts, and related metadata to generate video analysis, recommendations, scores, summaries, hooks, titles, captions, and other AI-generated outputs.
If you purchase a subscription or other paid feature through the App Store, Apple processes your payment. We do not receive your full payment card details. We may receive purchase-related information such as your product identifier, subscription status, entitlement status, transaction identifiers, renewal status, and cancellation status from Apple and our subscription management provider, RevenueCat, so that we can unlock and manage paid features.
We may collect technical information such as your device type, operating system, app version, browser type, IP address, crash logs, performance data, diagnostic data, feature usage, and analytics events. We use this information to operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Service.
We do not collect precise device location unless we clearly ask for your permission first. We may infer an approximate region from technical information such as your IP address for security, analytics, localization, and service improvement. Content you upload may also contain location information if you include it in a video, image, caption, transcript, username, or metadata.
On our website, we may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, understand website usage, and improve the user experience.
If you choose to connect ViewClue with a third-party account or service, we may receive information that you authorize that service to share with us, such as an account identifier or content you choose to import or export.
If ViewClue displays ads, measures ad performance, or uses advertising attribution, we may use advertising and attribution tools such as the Meta/Facebook SDK. These tools may collect or receive technical information, device information, app events, ad interaction information, IP address, and identifiers such as the iOS Advertising Identifier (IDFA) where permitted. On iOS and iPadOS, we will request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before accessing the IDFA or using data to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. If you do not allow tracking, the IDFA will not be available to us for advertising, although we may still use limited non-tracking information for app functionality, fraud prevention, analytics, and aggregated ad measurement where permitted. ViewClue does not use your uploaded videos, prompts, transcripts, or AI analysis results to serve third-party personalized advertising.

ViewClue uses third-party service providers to provide AI-powered video analysis and related app functionality.
When you choose to use an AI analysis feature, ViewClue may send the content you select for analysis to our AI processing providers. This may include uploaded videos, images, audio, captions, transcripts, prompts, descriptions, thumbnails, generated outputs, account or app identifiers, and technical metadata needed to process the request, prevent abuse, and return results to you.
Our current AI processing provider(s): Gemini and related Google AI services provided by Google LLC..
We may also use cloud hosting, storage, analytics, crash reporting, and subscription service providers to operate the Service, including providers such as Firebase, PostHog, RevenueCat, Apple, and other vendors needed to deliver the app.
Before ViewClue sends user-selected content to a third-party AI provider for analysis, the app will disclose what data is being sent, identify the provider receiving it, explain why the data is being sent, and ask for your permission. If you do not allow AI analysis, the relevant AI feature may not be available, but you may still use other parts of the Service where available.
We share information with service providers only as needed for them to provide services to ViewClue, such as processing AI analysis requests, hosting data, measuring app usage, managing subscriptions, detecting errors, or providing support. We require service providers to protect personal data with safeguards that are the same or equal to those described in this Policy and to use the data only for the services they provide to us, unless otherwise disclosed to you.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the limited circumstances described below.
We may share information with vendors and service providers that help us provide ViewClue, including AI processing providers, cloud infrastructure providers, analytics providers, crash reporting providers, customer support providers, subscription and entitlement providers, and payment-related providers.
If you choose to export, publish, share, or connect content to another service, we may share the content and related information as you direct.
If ViewClue is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a policy that provides substantially similar protections.
We may disclose information if required by law or if we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process, protect the rights and safety of ViewClue, our users, or others, investigate fraud or abuse, or enforce our Terms of Service.
ViewClue does not use your uploaded content or AI analysis results for third-party personalized advertising. If we introduce advertising or tracking that requires additional disclosure or consent, we will update this Policy and request any required permission before using that technology.
We may use analytics tools, including PostHog and Firebase, to understand app usage, diagnose issues, measure feature performance, and improve ViewClue. Analytics data may include app events, device and app information, diagnostic data, and interaction information. We use analytics to improve the Service, not to sell your uploaded content or AI analysis results.
Your information may be stored on servers operated by us or by our service providers. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account, provide AI analysis history where available, manage subscriptions and entitlements, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements.
You may request deletion of your account information and user content by contacting us at hello@viewclue.app. We may retain limited information where necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or legitimate business purposes.
We implement reasonable security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may control certain account information and settings in the app. You may also contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, or to ask questions about how your information is processed.
You can choose not to submit content for AI analysis. If you decline AI analysis permission in the app, ViewClue will not send the selected content to third-party AI providers for that analysis request.
ViewClue is not intended for children under 13 years old, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Our Service may contain links to websites or services that are not owned or controlled by ViewClue. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party websites or services.
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or other appropriate communication channels.
